For measuring the rate of drainage of pulp suspensions and expressing it in terms of Canadian freeness. The drainage chamber and filling chamber are mounted on a robust stainless steel frame. The filling chamber has a calibrated perforated screen plate at its lower end and drains into the spreader cone.

It is closed from above and below by a cover. The upper cover is equipped with an air valve, which is used to start the process. The spreader cone drains into a calibrated nozzle and a drainage pipe mounted on the side.
